Special Education Advocacy and Consultation

Work with Jill

Special Education Advocate | BCBA | Texas IEP Support

Jill is a Special Education Advocate and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) serving families across Texas.

With experience in both public school special education leadership and intensive clinical ABA settings, she understands how high-support programs are designed, evaluated, and defended within ARD committees.

Parents often seek support when:
  • An IEP feels vague or incomplete
  • Behavior is impacting access to learning
  • Data does not seem to match the services being proposed
  • A transition from ABA clinic to public school is approaching
  • An ARD meeting feels high-stakes.

Jill’s work centers on clarity.

Rather than escalating conflict, she focuses on strengthening the foundation of the IEP to support ARD committees in arriving at decisions that are grounded and defensible. Her approach can be described as structured, steady, and direct. The objective is not to take over the meeting. The objective is to help parents understand the system well enough to participate with confidence.

Experience

Jill is Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with nearly 20 years of experience in educational settings.

Her career began at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and progressed through roles in other settings including Special Education Teacher, Curriculum and Instructional Support Specialist, Clinical Director, and Special Education Coordinator.

Jill’s Work frequently involves cases where placement, service intensity, or goal alignment are under review.

Her approach integrates instructional design, behavior science, and special education compliance, ensuring that services are individualized, defensible, and grounded in accurate and meaningful data.

What Families Gain from IEP Advocacy and ARD Support

Families work with Inspired Ability to gain:

  • A clear understanding of their child’s present levels.
  • Confidence in identifying vague or misaligned goals.
  • Insight into whether data supports current services.
  • Practical language to use in ARD meetings.
  • A grounded understanding of options across the continuum of services

The focus is not just on attending meetings. The focus is on helping parents understand whether their child’s program is individualized, data-based, and aligned with grade-level expectations.

Who Needs a Special Education Advocate?

Services are designed for:

  • Parents prepping for an ARD or IEP meeting
  • Families transitioning from ABA clinic to public school
  • Students whose behavior is impacting access to instruction
  • Parents reviewing progress reports and questioning whether meaningful growth is occurring.
  • Families seeking an outside review of an IEP, FBA, or BIP

This work is especially helpful for parents who want to understand the system well enough to participate confidently in decisions, not just react to them.
