My career started in intensive clinical ABA at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, then moved into schools. The work that shaped me most was at a non-public school where I was responsible for building a program that merged clinical ABA with state curriculum and grade-level academic expectations for students most people assumed couldn’t access either.

From there I spent years inside the public school system as a district BCBA and special education coordinator, building IEPs and behavior systems from the inside. I know how those decisions get made, where the shortcuts happen, and what it looks like when a child’s program is genuinely individualized versus when it’s built around what’s convenient to offer.

I founded Inspired Ability because families need someone in the room who understands the system from the inside, not just the rights framework. Someone who understands the clinical and instructional decisions underneath it. When I look at an IEP, I’m not just asking whether it’s legally defensible, I’m asking whether it will actually work for this child.

My practice is intentionally small. I take a limited number of cases because this work requires real attention. Every family I work with gets my full analysis, my direct opinion, and a specific plan, not a checklist and a vague sense of what to do next.
